The DP Tank
Delivering on the true promise of the Diploma Program
Welcome to The Ripple Tank, and thank you for your interest in our service.
Designed to help school leaders build a collaborative and effective professional learning environment, The Ripple Tank is simple yet incredibly powerful—rooted in the belief that small, intentional actions can create meaningful and lasting change.
Some of you may remember the Marshall Memo, a straightforward email update summarizing education research. The Ripple Tank is a modern, 21st-century evolution of that idea—tailored for today’s educators and informed by research on shared professional growth from leading organizations like McKinsey & Company. Through accessible, thought-provoking, and research-based content, we accompany you throughout the academic year, providing resources that spark dialogue, inspire action, and deepen professional learning.
Here’s how it works. Every week, we select a topic that aligns with the rhythm of the school year and unpack it in a way that is both practical and insightful. Each weekday, you receive a short email introducing an aspect of the topic, designed for you to easily adapt and share with your team and containing a link to the episode and resources. These emails position you as a thought leader, foster a culture of professional discussion within your staff and are incredibly quick for you to distribute.
We begin with an overview, setting the stage for the topic at hand. This is followed by a deep dive into the research and academic literature, offering evidence-based insights. Midweek, we shift from theory to practice, exploring case studies of schools and systems that have successfully implemented the ideas. As the week progresses, we focus on practical strategies, providing teachers with concrete ways to apply these insights in their own classrooms, tailored to different age groups and subject areas. To round out the week, we share a broader education update—highlighting emerging trends, new research publications, and developments within international education.
Every podcast episode is just around five minutes long, yet packed with informed, reflective content. Accompanied by supporting materials, these episodes make it easy for you elicit a substantive dialogue around integrating research-backed strategies into your school’s professional learning culture. There’s no requirement to acknowledge the source—simply share and spark meaningful conversations.
Over the course of the year, we deliver a total of 200 episodes, covering essential areas of education in a way that is timely, relevant, and immediately applicable. And the best part? The service is incredibly affordable. For just $200 per year per school section, your school can access the full suite of content annually—just a dollar a day. Schools offering Kindergarten through Grade 12 education can subscribe for $600. Added to this, we offer a one-month free trial so you can experience the impact before making a commitment.
Every day, we release a ripple in a vast educational ecosystem. Some ripples fade, others grow into waves, but all have the potential to make a difference. We are proud to have a growing community of schools using The Ripple Tank to enrich their educators’ professional journeys, and we would love for you to join us and create ripples of positive change.
Thanks for your interest.
