You may remember the Marshall Memo—a weekly roundup of research for educational leaders. The Ripple Tank builds on that idea, reimagined for today’s schools. We’ve drawn from decades of research—including studies by McKinsey & Company and leading educational thinkers—which show that when professional learning is timely, shared, and tied to institutional goals, its impact is deeper and more enduring. We’ve taken this insight and translated it into a lightweight, high-impact format designed for real schools and real teachers.

Here’s how it works. Each Monday, you receive one concise email that introduces the theme for the week and links to five short podcast episodes—each around five minutes long. These episodes are carefully sequenced across the week: we begin with an overview, then move into the research and academic literature. Midweek, we explore case studies from schools or systems that have implemented these ideas with success. On Thursday, we turn theory into practice, offering concrete strategies that teachers can adapt for their own classrooms—differentiated by phase and subject where needed. And finally, on Friday, we zoom out and share a broader update on what’s happening across the education landscape: new research, emerging trends, and thought-provoking developments from around the world.
